Job Summary

An Accounting Technician performs general accounting duties such as preparing monthly bank reconciliations, recording revenues, investments, and bad debts, reconciling accounts receivable customer billing, preparing adjusting entries and schedules, and performs other related duties as required. Our client’s accounting team is looking for a new Accounts Payable Technician colleague

General Responsibilities

  • Calculate, prepare and process invoices, accounts payable, and related documents
  • Make adjustments as needed
  • Prepare accounts payable payments after obtaining the appropriate approvals
  • Responsible for accounts payable management

Requirements

  • DEP or DEC in accounting
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Comfortable using computer tools such as Excel, Word
  • Knowledge of the Hopem system (an asset)
  • Experience in a multi-site or multi-company environment (an asset)
